Brainstorm Tapped for 2003 Indy Racing Logos

01-22-2003

Indianapolis, IN-
The work of a local Indianapolis branding firm will serve as the 2003 visual identity for the three largest single-day spectator events in the world.  The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has approved a trio of logos created by Brainstorm to be the official 2003 marks of the Indianapolis 500, the NASCAR-sanctioned Brickyard 400 and the SAP United States Grand Prix Formula One.

"This is one of the strongest suites of event marks we've ever had," said Dawn Dyer, manager of Creative Services for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The suite of logos created by Brainstorm signals the first time ever the IMS has selected a locally owned Indianapolis firm to create the official marks for all three events.  The Indianapolis 500, the SAP United States Grand Prix and the Brickyard 400 are the largest attended races for each of the specific racing series.

“We are thrilled to bring attention to the creative talent available in Indianapolis through our work with these three prestigious racing events,” said Bob Blass, principal at Brainstorm.  “Our branding team worked hard to provide a suite of logos that the IMS could proudly display through a variety of media.”
